SJA has three separate seasons each year. Each season has unique benefits.
Fall / Winter Season: This primary season extends from September through February regular season and into March for swimmers that qualify for certain championship meets. This is the Short Course Yards meet season. All Meets are in 25 Yard pools.
Spring Stroke Clinic: This Stroke Clinic is held in the April/May timeframe for approximately 5 weeks. This is a special technique workshop for swimmers, with a focus on technique drills for each stroke (free style, butterfly, breast, and back stroke).
Summer Swim Season: This competitive swimming season runs from late May through July/August each year. This is the Long Course Season for our USS Meets where we swim in 50 meter pools in those meets just like the Olympics. We also swim in our conference meets in 25 yard pools in the Summer.
Come join SJA and see what all the buzz is about.
How to Register
- Use the links below to complete the registration form. Two registration
form options are given: online or paper. We prefer that you use the SJA
Online Registration. If you want to use the paper form, please print
it, complete it and bring it to registration. (It's not necessary to
print the online form.)
-
Every swimmer must renew their USA swimming registration each year. USA swimming registration must be completed using the paper form found by printing the link below. Please be careful to be accurate on the USA swimming forms especially the Name and Birthday. The Form says to make the check out to Michigan Swimming, please disregard that and include the USA fee with your registration check. If you swam last year we will have a preprinted registration form for you with past information on it.
-
Registration is scheduled for the first two days of practice for the session. Bring any completed paperwork and full payment for the session. You will not be able to practice until all of your paper work is received and payment is made. Cash or checks, made out to SJA, are accepted. 10% of your registration fee goes to the Facility use fee SJPS charges SJA for use of the pool.
Before a swimmer can start practice all necessary forms (online or paper) must be submitted along with payment of the SJA Registration fee and the total USA Swimming Fee.
